The Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs has established Central Forensic Science Laboratory at Pune with Hi-tech infrastructure to provide forensic support in Hi-tech and other heinous crime. This facility will fill up vacuum of new technologies in this part of the country.

The CFSL, Pune will have facilities of emerging forensic technologies. This will also provide the training and awareness programs for police, medico-legal experts and judiciary and assist the Investigating Officers in incidence response in respect of hi-tech crimes. The scientific services will be provided to generate the required impetus to assist criminal justice delivery system by having highly trained human resource, state-of-the art facilities projecting areas for adopting latest technology.
